As we near the end of 2017 there are a few things that still shock me.  A huge one, that has been on my mind for days, is the fact that men (and other women) are still out here referring to women as hoes.

How stagnant does out thinking have to be for this to still be a thing?  

What are the qualifications?  How does one get labeled a hoe?

Is it based on how often a woman has sex? The number of sexual partners she has?  How much she enjoys sex? Or is it because she allows herself the freedom to enjoy sex outsides of the bounds of a relationship? Seriously, what are the qualifications here?

It's all bullshit.  Adults, male and female, are free to fulfill their sexual needs in whatever ways they deem necessary...as long as those ways include other consenting adults. If I want to sleep with one man or ten men, that's my decision. A woman's value as a person is not based on her sexual activity.  

We can not continue to place our personal moral codes onto someone else. Choice is a damned beautiful thing.

Some of you will say, women are hoes when they lie and cheat,  and on that, I will disagree with you.  I will say that anyone who promises to be in a monogamous relationship but breaks that promise is wrong.  But it still doesn't give anyone the right to label them a hoe.  The only label they have earned in that situation is that of a dishonest person... a liar, a cheater.  That's it.  Don't confuse the issues here.

Do you ever wonder why you don't hear men who behave in the same way called hoes? Because let me tell you there are plenty of men who behave in the very same fashion. They have sex when they want, with who they want, as often as they want, but we don't run around labeling them as hoes.  It's because we have allowed this society and it's fucked up moral standards to place a women's virtue, her value on her body.  She is only "wifeable" if she hasn't been "used up".  It's the same ignorant concept that will allow a man to dismiss a woman as a future partner if he has sex with her on the first date.  That is the misogynistic bullshit that will not allow us to move forward and I, for one, am sick of it.

Don't even get me started on the memes I see on social media.  Like some of yall really think a woman's vagina gets loose because she fucks a lot of dudes.  GTFOH!!!!  What if she just fucks one dude a lot of times, does it still get loose? Yall need to grow up.  Yall know whole human beings come out of vaginas right?  If that doesn't make it get loose you think a dick will?  

I write all this today to make one key point, 

We are more than our sexual organs.  We can have as much, or as little, sex as we want.  None of that changes our worth or our value.  Monogamous relationship sex is just as valuable as no strings attached sex.  Group sex is just as valuable as one-on-one sex...as long as consenting adults are involved.  If it doesn't work for you, that's great because everyone gets to make the choice as to what does or doesn't work for them.
